Nexus TruID is a client application designed to generate One-Time Passwords (OTP) for secure identification in an organization's critical systems, such as sales and email systems. It supports multiple profiles, each with the option to operate in either challenge or synchronized mode.
In synchronized mode, the OTP is generated after the user enters a PIN. In challenge mode, the user must enter a challenge, along with the PIN, to generate the OTP. The challenge is provided by the TruID server.
For TruID to function, the organization or service provider must have PortWise Authentication Server, which supports the radius protocol. The server also offers web service APIs for integration with any application that requires robust authentication to authenticate users.
TruID can be activated either online or manually.
